Metabolism
Metabolism, as an academic field, encompasses the basic biochemical concepts of chemical reactions and all phenomena of biomolecules occurring in cells or in vivo. In addition to the development of biomarkers or diagnostic markers specific to metabolic diseases, it is now evolving toward identifying the causes and molecular mechanisms of metabolic diseases. The researchers at SIMS are engaged in intensive research on metabolic diseases related to diabetes and obesity.
