Developmental Biology
Developmental biology is the study of the birth process, differentiation, and morphogenesis of living organisms and aims at understanding the molecular interactions in cell, tissue, and organ formation, from fertilized eggs to adult organisms. Studies on the developmental process using human stem cells and interdisciplinary studies using genetic technologies provide a foundation for the identification of the causes of genetic and degenerative diseases and the development of new treatments.
